I should have been more clear, sorry. I meant that Barons did not satisfy the SEC's questions to avoid the suspension. There is always a question period. Companies and people of interest are contacted with a list of questions derived from the complaints and given the opportunity to quash them. Suspensions are handed down when the requests are ignored, or more questions are brought up. The SEC is very cooperative and provides specific time lines to answer all their queries.
Sending companies to the Grey Sheets is more a punishment for not cooperating and sometimes, is enough.
