I grew up in the LA/San Diego area and I can tell you one thing. 30-45 min west of their HQ is nothing but desert land that is almost all zoned for agriculture/industrial. They would have no problem getting set up there. With the economy the way it is land should be available cheap.
I was tossing around numbers and 150 acres is 7500 gal of oil a day. Just as bio fuel at $3 a gal thats 22k a day. Over 8 mill a year total.
I know that the omegas and pharmaceutical extracts are a lot more per gal.
The question I have is what does it take to get a gram of pharmaceutical extracts or gal of omegas? I think DF said the vial he has at the NAA meeting took 1 ton of algae to produce and was worth 45k. I would think that ment 1 ton of dry algae.
I will have to do some digging before I could begin to guess how much $$$ 150 acres is worth on the high end.
Guess we know how DF is going to get that 6 mill PO filled!!
