I enjoy reading your messages, particularly portions that discuss what could be called the "car business."
When you examine an issue of Dupont Registry the auto section is filled with used stuff for sale, much of it from dealers.
Here and there are listings by stand alone outfits offering their version of an exotic two-seater.
How did they get started? How much did they have to spend simply to build the first completed, road-tested model?
Well, I haven't a clue.
Personally I'm not that interested, mostly because I'm not much of a "car guy"
Since Pete, his wife and son, moved to Indiana a few years ago, he's spent close to two million U.S. dollars in an attempt to become known as a world class exotic car designer.
Who knows? Maybe an angel investor will appear one day. Perhaps a "car guy" with lots of time and lots of millions he doesn't need anyway to spend on developing a fully completed, road-tested vehicle.
Men with that much money also put it toward thoroughbred race horses, marlin tournaments, Impressionist paintings, or, like David Letterman, help finance this Danica Patrick's exploits on the Indy Car circuit.
