The worst of it is that the losses are totally broad-based, are extremely heavy despite 0 on general markets around. And HAO etc are down over 6 % during these times. And even the most hit stocks in days before keep falling no matter what, even if they would desere some kind of at least technical rtc.
The bad attitude to anything Chinese is killing everything good.

Looking at the premarket prices on most ECSC stocks, I'm going out on a limb and saying today is capitulation day.

When NEWN has positive news like they released and is set to gap down...well that's about as bad as I've seen it and I've been trading China small caps since the summer of 1999 when the first Chinese stock to trade on the nasdaq began trading.

I would have to agree. I wouldn't be surprised to see a third of the ECSC stocks in the green by the end of the day. I suck at technicals though, this is more a gut feeling.

'today is capitulation day'

p.s. I have enjoyed reading this board so much over the past couple months that I became a premium member today. Looking forward to many great discussions in the future.

No better time to load up then when there is blood in the streets and a near panic atmosphere of gloom and doom. This sell-off is not being driven by any fundamental change in the economy or earnings outlook of these Chinese gems. The herd instinct in the market is almost invariably wrong.

I'm seeing a number of pullbacks on very crappy volume today.

Certainly looks like the sellers on drying up, its just that the buyers aren't appearing. Look at BSPM's 6.5%+ drop on crappy volume!
