Last summer I had a flood in my basement. We had almost 8 feet of water. Everything was destroyer. Had the basement rebuild few months ago. Paid thousand of dollars for professional cleaning and reconstruction. This area is the kids play area. For some reason, maybe psychological, the kids just don;t like it down there anymore. They say it has a strange feel in the air. I was concern and even called for mold inspection. negative. Two weeks ago my two boys asked if I could put a few ionic bulbs down there. I noticed that they spend the whole weekend playing in the finished basement this week. I didn't ask them anything. I don't know for certain if the bulbs took away that certain smell in the air they were talking about. Maybe it was just a psychologal thing. What ever it was...they enjoy the basement again.
