There are a lot of boards on Ihub that are devoted to outing stock promotions by IRPs and out and out scams.

Stir around a little and look for them.

Keep in mind that most penny stocks are scams, so it's easy to find them.

No, as you originally asked I was just expressing my personal opinion as to editorial caliber of that particular news report. I find that to be generally true of most local news reports that have mere moments to report on matters that are far more involved than can be covered in such a small window of opportunity.

For example, a friend of mine was recently interviewed by a TV news crew about some crime that had been occurring in her neighborhood; the interview lasted over 20 minutes, the part that was included in the less than two minute news story lasted 20 seconds. Out of necessity the finished product tends to focus on sensationalistic sound bytes and less on the underlying facts and background of the entire story. Nature of the beast.

Anyway, you asked for opinions and that was mine. You'll have to look elsewhere for subjective material with which to formulate your own opinion.
