tecate - The Dell deal is not priced in.

"If AMD is able to increase its distribution partnerships (i.e. Dell), then the company could benefit from accelerated revenue growth and cause the shares to trade above
our target price. This could also be true if the company is able to increase its market share in desktop and notebooks through its traditional distribution channels."

From Citigroup Smith Barney's November 15, 2004 upgrade to 'hold' / Target $24.

I am not sure. If Dell sticks to its single sourcing-model, just changing its supplier? Not gonna happen anytime soon, but it is feasible in two years or so. Frankly, the impact of this I dont think is priced in yet. On neither side of the supply-equation, btw. :-)

I see AMD working feverishly on pulling in schedules for 300mm ramps in at least two fabs, even by means of rather unsusual ways using whoever they can find with 300mm equipment and some capacity. (ATDM)

Hector did not give me the slightest impression of any insanity. I am very confident there is good reason doing all this. And good reason for stating the capacity would be good for 50M CPUs (only) after the measures yet announced.

tecate - I'd be astonished if it were. As many times as it's been rumored, why would it already be priced in this time?
