Thank You, spokeshave, for that description of our technology and how it will works. Even I can sorta' understand what you are talking about.

GOOD MORNING NVEI INVESTORS
Spokeshave, thank you very much for that layman's basic on what we are working on and why so many of the postings of who has what and who is going to beat us to market don't really apply. I would have said the same thing if I had any idea how (LOL).

Thanks Spoke, that is a good synopsis of getting to the core of the difference between us and them. But, as someone in a recent post said, 'the customer does not really care about 'how' as long as it does 'what it claims''. So NVEI's challenge is at the mercy of who uses our technology to get' their story' out about 'what they claim' to provide for the customer.

So in some aspects telling our technology progess story does not do much. As so many have said before ' it depends on getting the carrier trials completed and being able to identify who the carrier is' and have that come out in a PR that should turn some heads. I HOPE! Then obviously revenues will help more.

Then the carrier publishing what they are going to do for the customer based on our technology (kind of like do do do Intel inside) commercials.

GO NVEI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#5235 RE: spokeshave #5211

ethernet physical layer(PHY) is also defined in the 802.xxx spec where it can be twisted pair fiber or wireless. with physical transmission perimeters defined for all of them. typically your pc has 802.3 which has a physical transmission defined for twisted pair CAT3 or CAT5. 803.3ab would be gigabit ethernet which also has a seperate physical definition for copper, and fiber. so ethernet can also have a physical definition. what really matters is how far and at what bit rate. I don't care if you call it ADSL, VDSL, QAM, CAP, AM, FM. saying there is an ethernet interface just makes it easier to inteface/design a router/switch with existing technology and infrastructure. So when a company says they are transmitting ethernet 25Mbps to 4k feet that means alot to me and I don't care what the modulation is as long as what I put in is what I get out. It could easly be ethernet with a QAM modulation, or ethernet over ADSL, or VDSL.

also ethernet packets are not resent because they arrive out of sequence, they are only resent if there is an error, and they are not a voice packet.
