#60550 RE: nez #60549

I tried to find some sort of statistic on that the other night but came up empty. We were discussing the point that sometimes it's better to have some minor error in applications just the people that review then feels like they doing their job when they come up with the item. Not saying that's what happened but hey, ya never know!

Well, there is limited research on this matter, but one can go through the list of current or past projects on the NHSEC site and see if there were any approvals on the first run. Looking at the list though, there aren't many projects listed that are starting from scratch like Laidlaw. A lot of the filings are simply motions filed by already existing companies that are trying to revamp or ungrade something.

I browsed through the list and there was at least 1 project that was accepted right away.

Current Project: Granite Reliable Power, LLC
Docket No. 2008-04

(Filed July 15, 2008)
(Accepted Aug. 14, 2008)

Here are a couple that were delayed by a month or so for one reason or another, but they weren't flat out rejected.

Current Project: Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company – Concord Lateral
Expansion Project
SEC Docket No. 2008-02

(Filed April 22, 2008)
(Accepted June 23, 2008)

Past Project: Community Energy, Inc. and Lempster Wind, LLC
Project
SEC Docket No. 2006-01

(Filed Aug. 28, 2006)
(Accepted Oct. 17, 2006)

What does this all mean for Laidlaw, absolutely nothing. Whether it was negligence or an oversight, they just need to get it done and I am sure they are aware of this. We will not be waiting a long time to see the "Order on Completeness and Acceptance of Application" imo.
