stockcharts does allow you to annotate charts in Java as well (for free) but you can't post a live annotated Java chart, same as any Java chart. And you are limited to 3 indicator overlays, and three indicators above/below their charts as a free member.
Static images are unfortunately the only option available for chart annotations in posts on iHub, as far as I know, UNLESS you become a premium scubscriber to their web site... and even then, only OTHER PREMIUM SUBSCRIBERS can see your annotations.
Most premium stockcharts users are oblivious to this fact.
