I wasn't supporting, and I don't beleive wave was suggesting, that TOVC try to in any way 'profit' or gain from such an effort. That would be in ultimate poor taste and judgment.
Unfortunately, over the years we've had events like this surface where emergency search and rescue are urgently needed. From a practical standpoint, it may be impossible to 'donate' the time of a vehicle such as an FTV (if one were even available).
I was (merely) suggesting that sometimes companies do the right thing for the right reason. Look no further than the headline this week about Google's announcement about publicly weighing a pullout from China! May hurt Google in the long run but the company stand on principle. You've got to admire that type of corporate decision making and guts.
At least I do.
