Educational non violent games are of any generation. Maybe your niece would prefer Rogue Trooper.

Reader Rabbit most likely will be produced at multiple age levels and I am certain your niece will find one suitable.
I suggest you donate the current one to a local Kindergarten since it was developed for a 5-6 year old not a 9 year old.

Your niece is 9 years old: off course she laughed with reader rabbit kindergarten! She is way too old for that game: kindergarten is for childeren untile the age of 5-6 years. That game is not cool for her. You're lucky that she laughed with it, instead of being disappointed in you.

Why did you buy it for her anyway? The poor girl!!! I hope she normally gets better presents, presents for her age otherwise you are a little sick-minded!

RR Kindergarten is a hit for the little children. And I'm sure ,if you buy the reader rabbit sequels for children of a higher age, your niece will like it.
