e-ore, sorry to hear that you lost your dog. I can tell you that my border collie is my best buddy and he seldom lets me out of his site. Hopefully I will have him the rest of my life as I am 71 and he is only 15 months.
By the way he is a rescue dog from the local pound. Got him at 19 weeks of age. His right rear leg was fractured in three places and the vet thought he might need to amputate it, but it turned out that it healed quite well so he barely has a limp.
