Transformation of Chinese cities

Chad, I had the same amazed feeling over the skylines of Chinese cities when I clicked the links sent out by Burp earlier.

I had a trip to China before Thanksgiving, and visited 8 cities in the coastal areas. I was totally wowed by the development in those cities - major transformation over the last ten years.

All the local officials I met spoke proudly of grand plans for their cities. The freeways, express trains, and now the high speed bullet trains link the cities in such ways that were never before, creating a lot of opportunities for urbanization and growth for next 5 to 10 years.

Thats why I am gradually moving all my investments to Chinese stocks.

My brother who often visits China, says there is a world of difference between the urban and rural situation.

Rural areas do look like 3rd world/developing countries.

Availability of jobs has led to huge influx of workers from villages to cities, creating imbalance in the society.

The government realizes that and trying to make rural areas equally thriving economically.

What it means is that huge incentives for investment for companies which focus on rural areas such as education, healthcare and agro-based industries.
