pantherj, I have a better suggestion...
Instead of jumping on me, why didn't YOU have a chat with the Delaware SOS like I just did? Even though the original question does not appear in their email back to me (it never does), I pointed out to them that according to their own site, SPNG still owes 187,171.13. I also told her that I spoke to Dot a short time ago and she told me that SPNG didn't owe any money. I asked her which was the case. Here is Mazie's response:

info: You are now chatting with 'Mazie' with the Delaware Division of Corporations Franchise Tax Section.
Kirk: Hi Mazie!
Mazie: Hello, when you log back in to the annual franchise tax report filing for tax year 2008, the system will reset the tax back to the authorized shares method. You cannot view previously filed reports on the web site
Kirk: You mean I should log out, then log back in again?
Mazie: No, the system will not reflect the recalculation of the tax on the assumed par value capital method because the numbers used in the calculation are not public record
Kirk: Okay, so you're saying that Dot was correct, and that SPNG does not owe any more taxes for 2008?
Mazie: Yes, she was correct
Kirk: Okay, thank you very much!
Mazie: You're welcome
info: Your chat transcript will be sent to marmadon2003@yahoo.com at the end of your chat.
