'Twas the night before Christmas and all across the chat
Charlie was pulling bits of news from his hat
Stockholders want to know "what's up in that house?"
People were screaming "The boss is a louse"
Let's take a breath, folks. It's Christmas, you know.
Miners, like us, have families and places to go.
Let's gather 'round the tree and admire the glow
Of gold and silver and the things that we know.
There's lots more presents I'm sure we will find
When we open more boxes and learn what was mined.
Let's hope that Santa leaves a check from the bank
So that one day soon the boss we can thank
For all his hard work and the copper we seek.
Let's all hope for better news next week.
Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year to all of us.
