TAMPA - Spanish authorities have scored a major victory in their legal battle to reclaim a half-billion dollars worth of sunken treasure found and recovered by Tampa-based ocean salvager Odyssey Marine Exploration.

There was no doubt from the beginning that this case would play out all the way to the highest court.

It will not matter who was ahead at the end of the first quarter or at halftime, nor will it likely be a "winner takes all" decision at the final call.

I hold these truths to be self evident.

Those who fear the sea should never set sail.

Sailing ten days beyond the horizon will tell you more about the inner qualities of a shipmate than a lifetime ashore ever will.

Salt water doesn't get into your veins. If it's there, it always was.
