I agree. In the past Neomedia's technology failed to kick in because the market was not ready for it. IM does not want to make the same mistake. He wants the mobile market to be in place first (even if this means tolerating IP infringers for a while) before making the business call.

Temporarily allowing the industry players to use the IP for free is not a bad decision. In the mall we sometimes see Chick-Fil-A distributing free samples of their chicken nuggets. The Chick-Fil-A management did not think that it was losing money just because it was distributing free chicken samples. The management was confident that the customers will come back and ask for more. I think that IM, who was severely criticized by some for his inaction against big infringers, is also CONFIDENT that big players will come back and license the IP once they see how successful and enormous the mobile industry is, and why Neomedia's plea for open systems and interoperability is the way to go.

IMO Neomedia will succeed. We will see revenue rolling in and patient shareholders will be rewarded.

What about YA? IMO YA is in business and must also make money for taking risks. We should not blame YA if it wants to make a profit. However, I think that shareholders must watch out and be ready to take action if YA tries to do anything ILLEGAL.
