Thank you.May I ask about trading from Canada? do they allow you to trade US stock? and is it have to do. I have a friend in Canada that wants to try it. No experience at all. what firms can you use? can you use e-trade or discount brokers?

I believe less than 30 days is considered a wash sale...meaning you have no effect of selling just like you had kept the shares all along.
