Chartinator...I am so so very sorry to hear about your mother and her passing. I shed tears after hearing this sad news! I new from day 1 when your mother was diagnosed w/cancer and did what I could initially to help you through her diagnosis and treatment. You are and have been a true friend to me and one of the only individuals that know me personally on IHUB! I know the strength it took to hold your family together and all the family members that relied on you for strength and support all the while you were also trying to give what all you had left to WU. You are one strong man w/ a lot of character and dignity! I have learned a lot from you.

My mom passed away tonight at 8:30. I held her hand and stayed with her for nine hours today as she struggled. It was one of the most horrrific things I've had to go through. I've no regrets though in that I've stayed with her every step of the way throughout this ordeal. Please enjoy your families during this holiday.

Chart -- Sorry to hear about your mom's passing. My dad passed the day before Thanksgiving 2 years ago. Holidays are different now. The rushing and the stress of holidays no longer have a place in my life. They are much more about enjoying time with the ones you love the most. The fact that you didn't hesitate or complain and did all you could for your mom says alot about the kind of person she must have been. Your family is in our prayers.

I too held her hand for hours in the ICU as she slowly slipped away after an unexpected turn for the worse. It was without a doubt the hardest thing I have ever had to do. How you have done that and still had the strength to keep running this board that helps so many is beyond me. You have great strength. While I don't post much here I follow the board and have learned a lot from it and you. My prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

chart, i saw your post per a reply someone did to you, and i want to also say that im very sorry and i feel your pain. I lost my mom suddenly and recently.

only my dad was with her in time, at the hospital in ga, but he put the cell up to her ear for she and i to say ... sigh.. wow,,,, i cant type when i am trying to tell you this.. ok.. im back..

i said "i love you mom" and she said "i love you too gail" but it was very high pitched and loud, like she was yelling to me. but im glad my dad did that. i told him he gave us both a last minute gift. ill miss her but, for what its worth chart, your mom knows, like mine did, how much you cared and you were with her in that way, just as i got to hear her, and she heard me.
