Do you know if anyone has studied the impact of misinformation or fraud has had on chart movement? I'm curious if the traditional chart indicators are affected by a fraudulent management. What factors in technical analysis is able to detect a corrupt company?

For example, Has anyone studied the charts of Enron or WorldCom while they were coming apart to see if the charts had it figured out. Were there signals other than the fundamental guys that said something was wrong with the company?

Even though there are folks like you that look only at chart and MM movement, there are at least as many like me that are more focused on fundamentals. How do you technically reconcile the effect of those of us using fundamental analysis to make buy and sell decisions on chart movement?
