Mr. Winnick was granted a design patent pertaining to the Space Launch vehicle with the aid of Dr. David Aufrichtig in May 29, 1990 (patent number: Des. 308,231).

Per the US Patent Office, the above patent is for an ornamental design of a toy glider.
