I do not agree Dog,
If Peter and Doug have aligned relationships with folks who have facilities that are currently idle and those same folks have agreed that, if the "Verde" is a Huge Success, and back orders for the Verde actually do materialize, then those folks are their to support them.
It is all about having a sound business plan. OK the Factory Five relationship flopped along with a couple of others, but Doug Pelmears Engine making the World's first 110 MPGe SuperCar a potential reality does not make it speculation if you sit in Doug's and or Peter's shoes. You Just Need to Make It Happen!

Keep in mind both Saturn and Pontiac no longer even exist. Two major American auto makers gone, poof. They are just a memory now. Wouldn't have mattered anyway now would it have? Your goals are not going to transpire if the foundation you are building on all of sudden goes poof.

The GTM obviously didn't work out either. Fact is most business plans fail so you are already at a disadvantage when you start.
