It turns out that it sends all alerts to the linked window by default.

Thanks for getting back to me anyway.

Does anyone know if I can get TI to save that file as a "log file" in real time rather than writing to an open text file?

Reason I ask is because it is a bit easier to work with a closed text file so I can reference to the modification date and time for manipulation.
