Gary, interesting article on the CZ52. I have never handled one, and assumed at the start of the article that it was likely a 9MM. Then I saw the FPS of various loads and slug weights from 52 to 85 to 90 grains. Obviously not a 9MM, so it had to be around a 30 or 32 caliber. Researching 7.62MM led me to the fact that it is a rifle cartridge of .30 caliber or in NATO version a .308. Since those are 'long' versions of a .30 caliber, I searched for and found that the 7.62 X 25 was the pistol cartridge. That solved my confusion, basically this is a .30 caliber with FPS up to as high as 2150.
I'm retired, limited income. This does sound like an interesting pistol to own and shoot. I have four pistols or revolvers on my wish list, but none will come at Christmas, I'll have to wait until I can save up for them. I will add this to my list, though.
