Too bad Greenlight will LOSE money with every gallon of biodiesel they produce.

Especially if the Blenders Tax Credit is discontinued ... Losses Multiply Quickly.

Super, Greenlight could not sell the biodiesel. Costs exceeded revenue and the plant was shutdown until a sucker with a stock scheme could be found to take it over. Don't forget profit is what is important to a business. Just basic business.

Your post forgets any biodiesel produced must be sold and money received to be revenue. Biodiesel plants are shutdown, not because they can not make biodiesel, but because they can't sell it at a profit. Zenergy does not have BQ9000 certification and can not compete. Just basic business.

Profit can be used as a measure of the businesses success, attracting investors and reinvesting back into the business. Without the ability to make money (profit) Zenergy is not good for stockholders. Just basic investing.
Profit = revenue - costs
