that kaja (sic) was directed to write that first article

'cause we all know that reporters take their direction from outsiders not their editors, right? Or do you mean someone forced the editor to tell her to write the article?

4k9p,
Did DP ever publicly acknowledge (or deny) making that statement to you? If so, can you point me to that, please?

Also, I have not seen any indication that an informal investigation preceded the formal investigation, yet I believe that to be the norm. While it would be unusual for such a thing to be made public, it would be no less unusual than someone directing a reporter to write an article about a company under informal investigation and that fact being reported to David Patch who then reported it to you. Were you made aware at any point that an informal investigation occurred?

Who wanted to see the article in the Post? Given that the first article appeared after the auditor and late filing issues had already sent the stock down significantly, what would the motivation have been for that party to pile on? Was it to create a shorting opportunity or a buying opportunity or both?

Does the sum of your information begin and end with your statement that "i was told by DP that kaja was directed to write that first article"?

I'm not a big fan of coincidence either. Or conjecture, for that matter.

On Dave Patch's website he lists all the letters and attachments he sent to SEC and many were e-mailed and Kaja was in the address block - a visit to his website (which is very good in some respects) will show--- what he sent--- to whom-- and when.
Dave has nothing to hide on the topic of SPNG. At least when he is bashing he backs up what he says..

Im so very long here -- but I read anything that seems intelligent

Big NEWS! December 31st. Think about it.

SPNG just signed a deal with Marvel

Disney is trying to buy Marvel for $4,000,000,000 !!!!! yes $4 billion!!!

That means that when the PRs hit we have all the Disney owners and holders and all the Marvel owners and holders reading the news and see SPNG and some will read up and some will buy in. Note that I said "all" owners will read the news here is why:

Marvel Sets Special Meeting Date of December 31, 2009 for Stockholders to Vote on Disney Merger

Marvel Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: MVL), a global character-based entertainment and licensing company celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding in 1939, announced today that it has set December 31, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. EST as the date for its special meeting of stockholders. At the special meeting, stockholders will consider and vote on the adoption of the Agreement and Plan of Merger entered into by Marvel and The Walt Disney Company (“Disney”), which provides for a merger in which Marvel will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Disney. Stockholders who owned Marvel common stock at the close of business on November 23, 2009 are entitled to vote at the special meeting.

This could be huge for SPNG. All eyes are on this merger - some eyes will be on us - some will buy-in even with skull and crossbones like Pike. Moskowitz and crew continue to surprise with thier crafty marketing and lax filing practices. I cannot figure them out. Happy new years???
