bobs10, I just find views like "AMD could do some damage to INTEL in the server market" simply naive. They currently barely make a profit. So, if anything, they´d damage themselves by cutting prices in their most profitable line, and INTEL would barely notice.
i keep seeing references to fab36 making possible a huge output increase.
it seems folks are ignoring the possibility that the die built there won't be much smaller than those currently built due to increased product complexity necessary to stay competitive.
do you think it will just be used to shrink the existing product? i don't...
