Dump all pharmas? I know your stance about agra stocks but frankly I'll have hard time parting from BSPM and CBPO, my fav 2 pharmas. Also, CHME and SKBID products serve the agra market, that's why I am considering them although they do have all the problems you mentioned. But what growth company doesnt need R&D and financing ?

Agreed !
Agriculture is safer than pharma. I have followed few pharma companies for last 2 years and they went no where. JGBO, AOB, SGTI, CPHI....And lost money on LTUS and still loosing money on SGTI. I sold BSPM and CBPO on gain.

Recently added GRO, SIAF, CKGT

Another sector I love is chinese internet.

Heck, I'm tired of eating just rice and goats milk, but I still take medicine when I'm sick.

I agree that he seemed to have alot of pharma already... But then again, SKBID isn't *really* pharma... They don't treat humans after all, but animals. In that sense, its closer to an agriculture company.

pharma vs ag stocks

Proper R&D can lead to a competitive advantage and a moat for the business. But yes, you have to watch the time line carefully for introduction of new products and required capital/possible dilution.

Ag stocks have many attractions but are not immune from competition, weather cycles, pests and the requirement of new capital for expansions. And then there is management: for a bad case see CNOA.
