1 Tcf of gas is appoximately equal to having about 150M to 175M barrels of oil I believe.

No you were the one that said a stand alone gas project was viable without any oil or condensate. I was the one that said it was only viable if it was associated gas and that condensate and oil were also part of the equation.

And to convert cf of gas to oil you simply divide by 6000. A trillion cubic feet of gas equates to 166,666,666 barrels of oil equivalent(boe) and 250,000,000 cubic feet of gas equates to 41,666,666 BOE. This is the industry standard for converting gas reserves to oil reserves.

Sorry ssc,

On the conundrum, I did misunderstand, but I'll stick to my version of huge/large gas finds (although I have not said there were no liquid showings).

On the question of gas/oil volume conversion, without being pedantic, the general rule is 1Tcf of gas = almost 170 million barrels of oil equivalence (boe) [ITcf=170mmboe].

Accordingly, if you look up the respective NSAI estimates per Blks 2,3 and 4 wells you will see the equivalence. For example, - and from memory - in Block 2/Bomu, NSAI estimated the possible existence of 230mmbls. Somewhere around 1.35Tcf of gas.
