HI, Dave. Looks like a nice little set. You have it set up right. I like my drums and cymbals close in to me so I don't have to move much to hit sumptin', lol.
Dunno much about being left handed, but I did a quick Google on Phil Collins and Mick Fleetwood, both left handed, and they both have the 'normal' set up. My son is left handed, and sets his up the same way, so I guess it's no big deal.
Hope the lad gets interested in music!
Also hope you have a lot of patience and a good set of ear plugs, lol.
