mike302, "IMO 90% of the kids ... have parenting issues..."

I agree! I recall that when I was teenager I had a LOT of "parenting issues".

My parents were constantly inventing "issues" where there often were none. With four brothers and a sister, my family was always in turmoil. There was always some big issue in my face. Family Politics! It was very distracting and unpleasant.

So if I were a 13 to 18 year old, living at home, I would probably feel really shocked and humiliated if I discovered that my parents were drug testing ME behind my back. It would be viewed as a major sign of disrespect just at the time when the kid is building an adult persona and identity. It seems to me that if the Identa kits were to be used at all in a home environment, then it MUST be known and agreed to by both parties. If not it would be open WAR! Might not be a workable solution.

I won't speculate on the parent's point-of-view because that was the role from which you raised the issue. So the parenting issue aside, I believe you may be absolutely right. The Identa kits might not sell well in that limited retail home/family scenario. But I don't see that as a major hurdle.

What about Transportation industry workers? I would think there would be major retail sales in that area, considering how much damage inappropriate drug use can cause. And certainly there are many other retail scenarios. I don't think we can accurately gauge just how big and how many markets there will be.

I just don't think it is worth while worrying or even discussing the minutia of all of the nooks and crannies of a future hypothetical market, that may or may not, appear. I would rather just step back and try to keep the entire thing in view. What I see is that this is GOING TO BE BIG! That's all I need to know.

Good Luck!
