What everyone seems to be unable to fathom is that, in fact the market has gone down and a lot. The problem IMHO is in knowing what the "value" of the issues are. In a world of fiat currencies where every one is debasing you have to use the only real currency available. You have to price in Gold. Simply put, the Dow would currently be "valued" around 1000-2000 rough math, in year 2000 dollars! It just seems to make a ton of sense and that IS the true value given todays dismal economics, no?
