Holding a losing position just so you don't have a loss is a very expensive way to invest, IMHO. You want to constantly evaluate your holdings and decide if the price is reasonable or not. If it's too high, regardless of your cost, sell. If it's too low, regardless of what you paid, buy some more. If it's in the reasonable range, hold on.
