ALEXANDRIA, Va. , Nov. 4 -- Two inventors have invented a catalytically activated vacuum distillation system. The U.S. Patent was issued on Nov. 2 (No. 7,824,523). The co-inventors are Bart M. Taylor , Mobile, Ala. , and Michael P. Maskarinec , Knoxville, Tenn.
An abstract of the invention, published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, states: "A catalytically activated vacuum distillation system, several novel component parts of said system, a process for producing carbon based products and novel carbon black that is produced from such a system and process."
