#100 RE: Makamai #98

QASP has peaked my interest, but i'm not 100% on it.

that is definitely some serious financing for a pinksheet, i have some stock for the speculation that if the loans go through... could give me a nice chunk of change

but i've also had some stocks that are still "about to pop", 4, 5, 6 years down the road... and still nothing but fluff

haven't had too much time to go into it, as I've seen stocks like this have "escape" hatch clauses where the funding can be pulled at the last minute.

going to start digging into it more now though, since you're following it too.

see if I can get some background on this "Inver Finance Ltd.", i've never heard of them, i wonder how they got access to retail life settlement policies, and what the structure is on those policies.

since the bonds are "secured by life settlement policies of people over age 72", that... on the first hearing, sounds a bit risky. people over the age of 72 will generally die in the next 25 years or less, and require settlement.... which depending on how the bonds are structured, could mean QASP is taking on that liability.

-that's probably my biggest concern. or that the financing will be pulled half-way by an "exit-clause"

if they however, get the money, without the liability... then that is one heck of a financing deal.

as we learned with the sub-prime mortgage crisis, it is always good to the know the underlying source of your bonds
I'll see what I can dig up on this Inver Finance Ltd.
