Actually I disagree with % of PC. Always have. Not that I don't understand the relative reasons as Tom has noted from time to over the years (although they escape me at the moment). I just think RL's original approach is more elegant.

Regardless, whichever one chooses, it should apply to one's total schema IMO. Consistency is part of the discipline I think.

One can also base the Min. Order Size on Portf. Control instead of stock value. This keeps the buy and sell orders of uniform dollar value.

Or one can make the minimum share quantity a percent of the total shares. This keeps the share count uniform, but not the dollars spent/received.
