I think you may be right about someone driving the price down, it seems to me that some of the PR's released are aimed at bringing the price down. (hopefully with the intent of loading up before a big run)
This reminds me of ASFX, they released a doomsday PR and the price went way down then a few days later they released the PR that caused the huge run it went on.
