Glad you are coming along. Don't push it too much.
A few years ago I slipped on some ice and my leg blew up. I danced on it that weekend (a lot) with the help of some ibruproprin a friend gave me. But after the weekend I didn't take anything and the swelling didn't go down. A few weeks later I eventually went to a doctor and had my knee drained and went back on ibruproprin. When the swelling was down about a week later I made the mistake of dancing on it and the next day the knee blew back up. That probably set back the healing about two weeks.
So do what they say but don't push it just because it feels OK. Probably stay off uneven ground for awhile.
