Those who see the big picture can also see why things are happening like they are...
The willingness of companies to be a part of the team.
The willingness of big money to get involved.
The tireless efforts by Dean and those close to him.
The dedication of the fudsters to get all the shares they can.
The list goes on. Don't be a stranger. There are many new eyes and pocket books coming on board, and they need what you have to offer from your perspective, considering you've been involved longer. I for one appreciate your contributions.
great post, jr... i think a few here don't quite realize yet what's going on with quasar and james ray. he is tops in his field when it comes to composite materials in aerospace, and he chose to become a part of QASP.
in terms of greening up the sky, as you said, this "lean aircraft initiative" ray has been a part of is going to be a major aspect in the design and manufacture of nearly every plane in the skies going forward, for years to come. that's just huge.
but the program was started to focus on lean manufacturing -- that's COST CUTTING. here are some docs from the early years, more than a decade ago:
Very good observation. The investing public doesn't quite understand how the use of composites is transforming the aerospace industry. In aviation the amount of fuel burned directly correlates to the weight of the aircraft. It is going to sound funny but I know of one carrier that reduced the amount of olives by one in each meals (when they served meals in coach on flights) and it ended up saving them millions of dollars a year in fuel costs. Composite technology is being used extensively in airframe and interior structures on commercial aircraft today and will only grow. QASP has one of the pioneers of that technology at the helm of one of our business units so we should expect big things from our company in that niche of the aerospace manufacturing business.
