Okay so here's my take. I thought about this PR today for a while because it really annoyed me. After some careful thought and trying to put myself in INAR's shoes some things started to makes sense. First of all INAR knows better than to release a PR of any substance on a Friday. Secondly, I am sure that developing a complete website to handle anything from toilet paper to private jets is a massive undertaking. We all know INAR is not made of money, cuz we have given them most of it, Marketing this website to the general masses and then just hoping that people will join up would be a huge financial drain on their resources. They are going to need to grow this website organically and have targeted marketing campaigns to reach customers. What better way to implement an initial vertical that is clearly understood, is large in dollar value, and easy (relatively) to compete in. Getting the site launched on time (Mid-NOV) is very doable with a travel vertical. They realized if they just launched the site on Monday with no pre-warning about what investors should expect, there would be no PPS jump to fund their marketing of the site. So they release a preview on Friday at the risk of losing a couple of ticks, but everyone now has the weekend to get used to it. Then on Monday the site comes on-line with aligned investor expectations, and boom we are off to the races! This is what ran through my head anyways. All my opinion, based only on what I would do. If I am right you can all call me savant. If not I was just dreaming!!!
