#28964 RE: deeba #28943

deeba - you don't understand how and why the majority of BOD are appointed to start-ups, by VCs, when VCs invest money. The credible BOD members HelloSoft has on board has only to do with the money flow, just as Ray-Ray was Exec Director, or whatever he was in Step into Liquid. In essence, money pays for board seats, and you don't get money from VC's without founders and partners on your board. The board members have credibility from their past "doings". HelloSoft is obviously a bet certain VCs were willing to make. It speaks to the fact that HelloSoft, not NVI, has a potentially bright future, and the VC's see an opportunity (in HelloSoft's core technology and mgt team) to earn a return on their money, which is obviously critical to a VC's ability to pay back their investors and in turn raise more money, and repeat the process.

It's great to see HelloSoft rec'd VC money, and in turn has reputable board members required by the VCs. Great. So what. That has nothing to do with NVI. That's the odd part about this entire line of discussion.

And so what that HelloSoft does business with Broadcom... so what. It's not as if Broadcom is therefore intimately involved with the development, and potential use, of NVI's supposed technology. I think some people bash to bash. That's not me. I have good reason to be skeptical, and I reiterate it as often as I feel like it thank you very much. Some people also go to a whole different extreme. It's as if me giving NVI $200,000, and them actually having $20 in the bank somehow means that they are in a one on one relationship with the Treasury Secretary. See how extreme that position would be?

I truly want NVI to be all they claim, and have claimed for years, they can be. But come on, they have nothing with which to implement this wonderful technology. They on vapors. And a positive word from the head of a emerging VoIP firm doesn't change the facts (NVI's past, and present financial situation, and proven inability to deliver under the current mgt team). I don't believe in magic. NVI is going to have to rebuild their credibilty by delivering tangible results, not just more "words" of encouragement from talking heads.
