The STP'ers certainly are going around completely convinced they have commercial oil/gas resources.

STP Pres Menezes' participation at the UN-sponsored Bamako Africa hydrocarbons/mineral conf is curious.

Island onliners STP-Press and Tela Non say he was the only visiting head of state at the meet and that he attended only the first day of the 3-day event in Mali. Neither mentions an offer to host the next meet in STP.

IMO, Menezes either went to Bamako to highlight something (STP as an emerging oil producer?) or, possibly, he went by mistake, leaving early when he discovered - oops! - he was the only foreign president present.
