Hey, I'm out PV (solar electric) expert here at work and I have to agree with you that at this point in time PV is not an investment I would make right now, without substantial state and government grants and tax breaks PV has a terrible payback (over 25 years) which is unacceptable. With the technology only providing 12 to 18 watts of power per square foot of PV panel and installed cost of a system being up to $8 per watt of PV, it’s not cost effective.

I'm also a leader in our Wind Energy division and I have to disagree with you on this.
