HTDS is the parent holding company of Mellow Hope of China and Slavic Bio Chemical.

Mellow Hope is the exclusive business partner and distributor for Zhejiang Tianyuan Bio-Pharmaceutical worldwide.

Novartis is buying 85% of Zhejiang Tianyuan Bio-Pharmaceutical.

Novartis is not buying HTDS. Why not? Mellow Hope is the exclusive business partner and distributor for Zhejiang Tianyuan Bio-Pharmaceutical worldwide. So Novartis may hold Zhejiang Tianyuan but HTDS and Mellow Hope hold the distribution channels. Why can't Novartis just take that over? Novartis could but Mellow Hope has already obtained the licensing to conduct business in these countries. Why would a 40 billion dollar company want to go through all the required work for market penetration and licensing when it has already been done and time is of the absolute essence for H1N1 vaccine distribution?
