Vertex is way ahead of bavi in hep c. IMO the solo bavi results were ok but needed a combination with something else. So mgmt made the right call in going in another direction. Check out VRTX market cap. Close to $7 bil.

They CAN'T fund every indication at once. They had to pick the best horses to ride. Other indications will come around later, that you can be sure of.
