Unfortunately, it doesn't address the apparent fact that Intel had to pay Dell $6B over 4 years to offset the demand for Dell machines with AMD processors.

Maybe instead of buying ATI AMD could have used its $6B to
pay Dell to use only AMD processors for 4 years.

Yes, we all know your position. Any volume discount Intel gives to customers is a bribe to stay away from AMD.

We know this because Neelie the Terrible said so. And she said so because AMD said so. And AMD said so because they're fighting for open competition in the marketplace.

Except of course when AMD squanders their competitive advantage, buys ATI for too much, spins off their money-losing fabs to the Arabs, and brags about it to hedge fund managers. But don't let the plank in AMD's eye distract you from the speck in Intel's ...
