I want to clarify something about PR's and promotion. I am beside myself at the lack of promotion, but I am not concerned (yet) about drilling results PR's. The only thing they can know right not is that they hit oil and it a small, moderate, or monster find. They simply can't PR anything yet. After their current analysis I would like to see a PR announcing "a significant oil discovery". They can't say more than that, and that is good enough for me. Details will come with additional drilling.
My concern with this company is the incompetent disregard for promotion.
ERHC Energy's drilling program should have began with the biggest road show/media blitz in the companies history. After all, it is the biggest event in the company's history. The only outcome of suppressing promotion going into drilling was to harm current shareholders. They can claim that promoting before results would create a liability, but that liability could only stem from unsuccessful drilling, in which case ERHC would become a company with worthless assets and there would be nothing for anyone to come after.
Not promoting the company only kills liquidity and has all investors wondering why, introducing doubt which is pulling the share price down. Instead of a foundation of excitement under our share price there is a crumbling foundation of fear and doubt because the company yet again missed an historic opportunity to come out of its shell. People are being hurt financially because of misplaced and unnecessary conservatism. There are many shareholders that have held on as long as they can, they are selling to pay bills. Forcing them to sell more shares than necessary because the company chooses to be conservative is unconscionable... especially when the company knows in detail how shareholders feel about getting the word out.
It is incomprehensible to me as a shareholder that they did NOT promoting drilling. A media blitz and road show should have started 6 months ago to make every investor with a nickel or more to invest aware of ERHC Energy and its imminent drilling schedule. I am not suggesting they pump or hype ERHE in any way. Tell the truth, but tell it to every stock promotion outfit in the world. "We have drilling rights where there's potentially billions of barrels of oil, and WE ARE DRILLING!". Everyone, everywhere, that has every looked at a penny stock should be seeing ERHC recommendations on their screens. A PR announcing drilling released to an investment community that doesn't know you exist is NOT promoting the company. The only people reading ERHC's PR's are those that know about it... US.
Everything everything we have waited years for, some over a decade, was taken away from us for no other reason than misplaced conservatism.
There is no limit to how much that squandered opportunity pisses me off.
