Perhaps the problem here is with some of our assumptions.
I wonder if what they claimed that the AV software would be...will turn out to be what it is... or could be. I never saw what the claims were in the first place... So I am at a loss to even comment.
We don't know what kind of development time/costs would be incurred to do so.
I had heard/read somewhere... that one of the things that some of the yet to be developed software would/could do... would make pirated software/movies a thing of the past. THIS would be worth untold kazillions to people like Microsoft and Sony and all the other household names in software/movies. And yet... I haven't seen anything about this type of software come from EXBX...... so, perhaps we need some clarification from EXBX v3.0 as to precisely what direction we will be headed in... and WHAT the software is expected to be capable of....

The DLD/DLP products for EXBX have a 85% market penetration & capture potential as they are superior to anything currently available. That is why EXBX went this way first instead of the AV route w/ a lower market penetration/capture potential. It is like you said their are other AV solutions out there that EXBX would have to compete w/ more than the DLD/DLP competition.

If EXBX can get their AV solution developed, & it is superior to the other AV competition/products. They will establish a strong foothold in that market as well.

They need the revenue to pay OSR to develop the AV & 12-18 months, then on to marketing. In the meanwhile the DLD/DLP products should start bringing in revenues & contracts. We need #'s.

iagman, I see your point about AV verses DLP; however consider this. You said yourself there are lots of AV products already on the market, there for making it much more difficult and expensive to gain traction and market share. The DLP/DLT market is much younger and with great growth potential. With a great product line and recognition exbx could see substantial penetration once market traction takes hold. I believe for exbx to gain traction the marketing efforts must be first class. If we can land Government contracts and some big name Cooperation’s, this will give us the needed traction build to substantial penetration and villa market share we can hold on to and gain more.
