Long: In response to your comments about the dollar; you are correct there is no IMMEDIATE danger of the dollar being replaced as the worlds reserve currency. But there is no way, that the U.S. will be able to keep the dollar from losing value, long term. All they can do is slow down it's decent, with intermittent interventions in gold, etc. and keep it from collapsing rapidly. The government's liabilities are are just too great, and they are going to have to keep printing money, to keep up with servicing that debt. This is a long process, and who knows what the global economic situation is going to look like ten to 15 years out, but I think the trend is going to be for the IMF, FSB, and the BIS, to continue to to rearrange the global hiearchy, and create a new global financial order.
